Hi, I'm Shaun Mellor, the owner, climber, aerial lift operator, and ISA Certified Arborist of Tree Labs Tree Service. I grew up here in Cedar Rapids, IA, but my love for the outdoors took me out west to become a wilderness survival instructor and guide, then working on organic farms and eventually to arboriculture. Working under and learning form a Master Certified Arborist, in Springfield, Missouri I built a base of knowledge to become a Certified Arborist, and continue to dedicate myself, expanding my knowledge and skill set every year. I'm super excited to be back in the Cedar Rapids area and serve my community. When I get the chance, I still like to escape to the back country of the western mountains.

Edward Piotrowski is Tree Lab's groundman. He manages most aspects of the ground work. From running the ropes, to chipping the brush, hauling logs, and cleaning up to leave your property nice and clean. He got a feel for tree work after the Derecho and is now the official groundman for Tree Labs. When not working here, you can find him on stage singing for a local metal band. His great attitude and humor helps keep the mood light during heavy work.
