Soil Testing

We take several samples of soil and send them off to a certified lab to ensure the most comprehensive testing available. 

Soil plays a key role in a trees health. People often look up but rarely think about what under ground. At Tree Labs we take the a natural, whole system approach to tree care.

Vertical mulching is a great way to add organic nutrition into your soil. It's a process that involves an air excavation device and manual insertion of compost into your soil. 

After a soil test, soil amendments can chosen to meet your trees specific needs.Once we know what's in the soil we can help balance it.

It takes 1-3 weeks, in general, for the whole process, from a soil test to creating and implementing a plan.  While liquid soil amendments have a faster timeline, mulching and vertical mulching can be used for longer term benefits.

Your tree gets most if it's nutrition from the top 6" of soil! Even shallow digging for trenches and landscape blocks can damage root structures necessary for water and nutritional uptake.
